National Public Works Week

May 21 through May 27, 2023 has been declared National Public Works Week. Every year we recognize these hard-working and often overlooked heroes who keep our towns and cities moving and working every day. These are the FIRST First Responders. Without them we have no roads, sewers, water, garbage removal or snow and ice control. They are called upon at all hours of the day and night in the worst weather to respond to downed trees, flooded roads, sewer backups, blizzards and even fires and automobile accidents. Without them our Emergency Services can't get where they need to go. 

As you drive by a construction site or when they come down your road to sweep, mow or cut trees, take a minute to say thank you. It means more than you can know.
